Advice for students
taking Writing III and IV
next year (2013-14)
In comments on this post, students who have taken part in Writing IV, section 1A, are to provide advice based on their experience this year, for the benefit of their successors next year. The presentation below outlines the short essay writing task calling for the former to prepare, compose, and post their advice for the latter.

I'll teach about this class for the students who will take writing III and IV.
ReplyDeleteIn this class, I could learn English using computer and blog. In Writing I and II class, we learned English using textbook. I didn't use textbook at writhing III and IV class, so I could write anything on my blog. I had to write 25,000 words at Writing III and IV. It sounds so hard, but you can write anything, so you will enjoy your blog in this class. In this class, you can learn how to write essay in English. I think it is good experience for you, so you should do it hard.
In Writing III class, you should do typing homework, book reviews and essays. You will do book reviews for the first time in this class. If you have any questions when you write it, you should ask your teacher. You have to do typing homework every week. It may be hard, but if you don't do it, you may lost this class.
In Writing Iv class, you have to write 15,000 words, so I recommend you start your blog during summer vacation. You have typing homework in summer vacation, but you should post more. If you do that, you will pass this class. In this class, you have to use any functions of computer. For example, those are main-map and audio boo. I had not known about these functions since I used in this class.
I think this class is English and computer class, so you can learn a lot of things. This class was hard because I had to do my blog, but very interesting for me. I want you to enjoy this class. If you have any questions in this class, you should raise your hand, and you should ask your teacher.
I had expectations I could get skill of writing when I entered Writing III-IV. I expected to write English sentences during the class.
ReplyDeleteI suggest that writing carefully essays, blogs, book reviews and so on in Writing III. At first, it is a little difficult to write these. But it getting easier and easier by keeping write to many English sentences. So it is important to write carefully each sentences.
I suggest that practicing to write English to make understand readers. In Writing III, I could get skill of writing than ever so next, in Writing IV, I practiced to write English that it is easy to read for readers. I think what is important to write English from Japanese is to make understand readers what I feel, think and want to tell them.
I think there are many opportunities that students can get skill of writing in Writing III-IV. In Writing III-IV, I could write essays, book reviews, and blogs so there were many opportunities to write English. And also, I could get skill of typing. During the class and doing homework in library, I used a computer so I could practice typing.
To write 15000 words on the blog is too hard for us. Because we have part time jobs and homeworks, but I could write 15000 words on my blog. So I think you can do it. I couldn’t write almost everyday in November. I wrote only 3 post in my blog. So I had to write hard after November. I suggest you write almost everyday. If you can do it, you don’t have to write long sentences. It is easy for us. I had too times to write long sentences, so you should write a lot of posts on your blog. If you can’t do it almost everyday, you will have to do toward the end of January. It is before tests. So I think you should finish early.
ReplyDeleteAt beginning, I couldn’t understand how to use the blog and how to write BR and so on. If you can’t understand how to use the blog, you should call assistant in your class. They help us kindly, so you can do correct things. The others, you can help your friends. You should talk with your classmate, so you can be closed and you can do it. I couldn’t use the computer well, so I was helped by assistant and my friends. It is too difficult, but I can use the computer, and I can be closed with my classmate.
You should write comment in your friends blog. It is interesting. You should study from your friends blog. After that, you can write looks like your friends. And you can watch your friends pictures and posts, you can talk about that. So, you can be closed with them. It is important things.
I will advice for the audience that you should do about writing Ⅲ and Writing Ⅳ. Second year student in Eibei should get Writing credit. It is so hard. There are many assignments in the class. You will be taught the class by Mr. B or Mr. T
ReplyDeleteThere are some advice about Writing Ⅲ. This class use the website, google. You must get the google account. And you must start blogger. And you must publish assignment least 10000 word in a first semester. You should write early as possible as you can write. If you don’t publish assignment, you can’t get the credit.
You must do Book Review in a first semester. You should read many books as possible as you can. Book is in the English Garden on library. If you read many books, you can publish the review on blogger. The word can count into the 10000.
There are some advice about Writing Ⅳ. This class similar to Writing Ⅲ. However, I felt that Writing Ⅳ was harder than Writing Ⅲ. That’s because, you must publish assignment on the blogger least 15000 word in a second semester. You should start publish free wiring on draft in summer vacation. And you should read a lot of books in summer vacation. Book Review continue second semester.
If you want to join Kaigai-Kenshu in second year, you will harder than other students this semester. And you should finish many assignment least has gone to America.
If you take part in writing III & IV, you work very hard. You will have own blog, and you must do typing homework, write essays and write book reviews. You have to write 10000 words in writing III and 15000 words in writing IV, so I recommend you to work early. For example, if you write 1000 words a week, you will finish as planned.
ReplyDeleteWhen you write essays, there are a few things you pay attention. First, you write introduction at the beginning of the essay. You should predict the content of your essay. Second, each paragraph has 5 or more sentences. Lastly, you write conclusion at the end of your essay. You should conclude all contents shortly, but you had better not to write new information at the conclusion. The teacher advises you, so you don’t worry.
Book review is also good opportunity to read English books. I had never read English books before the class started, but I came to like reading English books through book review. The library at KGU has a lot of English books, so you can choose books that matched your level. Also, you learn how to write reference. It is very useful.
Writing III & IV have a lot of homework, so you will feel hard. However, it is a very good chance to read and write English. You will be able to improve your English skills. You can do it!
I’m going to advise for repeaters that set about their homeworks and blog. It’s very terrible to write 15000 words. So, I was very hardships.
ReplyDeleteI wrote a lot of words by book reviews and typing speed homeworks and essays. And I didn’t write free writings. Particularly, I held out book reviews and I read a lot of English books and wrote 18 book reviews of them. My friends read more books than me and they wrote more than 18 book reviews.
And I would like to advise for repeaters that should attend the writing class. Attending a class is very important. I sometimes absented my writing class and I didn’t know my homeworks and various information. So, I asked my friends about homeworks every time. I was in a fix because I sometimes absented my writing class. Everybody can understand homeworks and important information if they attend the writing class. In conclusion, attending a class is very important.
Essays were homeworks. I wrote many and various essays. Writing essays is chance that write a lot of words. Every times, a teacher assigned a theme for essay. I advise for repeaters that write own personal opinion and extend own thinking and idea. It was very important in that writing blog for me. I always develop before my eyes a lot of delusions in that writing blogs. Thanks to it, I enjoyed and wrote blogs than I had expected.
There are many homework in this class. First, you have to write a lot of things in your blog, so I think that you should write anything when you do. It was very hard work to write blog posts. When you have a material, you should write it as soon as.
ReplyDeleteMoreover, you have to do typing homework and book review every week. If you have motivation, you should do them all at once. I think BR is interesting and good to learn English, so I recommend you to read little long story.
We wrote many essays in this class, too. We had to write many words in essay. It was very hard! You should think over about each paragraph. May be, you have to write joint essay with your friends. Please cooperate with them.
You have to update proto-portfolio every month. Don’t forget it! You have to count everything, such as amount of your comments. It is important to comment in your friends blog. It is happy if you get comments from your friends, too. You also have to update portfolio elements. I think that you should update it efficiently.
During this Writhing classes, we learnd how to write the English sentences every weeks, so we could get the skill of English grammer and vocaburaly. Before I take the Writing classes, I couldn’t write English sentences somothely. But I could write it smothely and get many vocaburalies because we wrote 10000 and 15000 words every weeks during this semester of 1 year. For example, we wrote free writing of our lives, book reviews, movie revews, typing homework, essays and so on.
ReplyDeleteI think Writing classes at 2nd grade is hard for you, but it is useful for you to get some English skills. So please never give up. Even if you have a trying year, it will be sure to make you learn many things. Also, you will get typing skill after you takeit. In my case, I was very weak to type on the boad but I can type smothely now than before. So Writing classes made me learn many things eclude English. I was glad to take it with 2A writing students and Mr. Paul.B.
I think 2nd grade students at Eibei Gekka is challenge year. This year for you will be sure to busy to do homeworks, blog or reports and so on. Please never give up. If you could do all things during this semester, your English skills sholud be grown and your mental strong than now. Please take care of your health to do too many things.
I will tell you about Writing class. I want you to refer to my advice.
ReplyDeleteThere are a lot of homework in Writing class, so it is advisable that you prepare for blogging before the class will begin. We had to write 10,000〜15,000 words in each semester. Also, we had typing homework and Book Review, too. I wrote about my favorite things, events, friends and so on. You should write daily happenings as soon as possible. Your friends will comment on your blog. You will have to write some essays. Don’t miss the deadline. In my class, we had Proto-Portfolios in order to count words of my blog. We had to update by the beginning of every month. You must remember these update, too.
We had special experience in autumn semester. First, it is Audio Boo. We made slide show and recorded captions with our voice. It was interesting for me. Also, we had a movie essay. This essay was joint essay with your friends. We chose movie and wrote essay about the movie. You need to make Google document and share it with your partner.
We could get into the habit of writing in English and reading some English book, so I want you to improve your writing skill in this class.
In Writing Ⅲ and Writing Ⅳ, there are many homework, for example, blogging, book review, typing speed homework, essays, and so on. I think you should write a blog early as soon as possible. Otherwise, you may suffer from a lot of homework. You can write articles from spring vacation, so you should write articles steadily. In 1st semester, you have to write 10,000 words. In 2nd semester, you have to write 15,000 words. You may suffer from blogging in 2nd semester more than 1st semester. I recommend finishing a lot of homework early. If you can finish them early, you don’t rack your brains! I think you can have any time to spare. If you are repeater, I think you realize what should you do.
ReplyDeleteThe most important thing is cut a class and loaf on the homework. If you absent this class, you can’t understand what should you do. Teacher explains to student about homework in details, so you may be able to understand how to do homework. It is very terrible thing. Please throw time away! If you fail your credit of this class, you have to do all homework again! It is really terrible! You have to write 10,000 or 15,000 or 25,000 words again!
If you have any question, you can ask for assistant in this class. So don’t worry about anything. The assistant is very kind to us. They teach us kindly. Teaches also kind to us. We ask for teachers “I don’t know this.”, and then teacher give advises. You can do it! Stick with it!

ReplyDeleteI think you had better start blogging early because this class has a lot of homework. And you have to write so many words. We had to write 10,000 in first semester and next semester was 15,000 words. If you didn’t start early, you will be cornered at the last.
This class has typing homework, essay and book reviews. Typing homework has to over 100 words in five minutes. This assignment good to improve writing skill. And you have to read English books to write book review. I think this assignment you should start early. But it was interesting assignment for me because I read the book which I want to read. And it is good for you to improve your reading skill. And we wrote essays. Your teacher will tell you about subject. Then you have to write about the theme. But only these things I think don’t reach 15,000. So you should write more, for example write your diary. And You don’t do “copy and paste” from other page. If it exposed, you cannot get credit.
This class is hard to you, but it is good for you. Please do your best!

ReplyDeleteIt was hard for me to write my blog 10000words and 15000words.It took me many long time to write it. So you should start to write it in April. And second semester is in August.
Also you should post 3 times in a week. For example, BR, Typing Homework and free-writing and so on. The free-writing is free. I wrote my friends birthday party, lunch, dinner, My favorite movie and so on. I added the picture. It was very interesting, so you can do it.
Also, you should write essay until deadline. You have to write essay in 3~4 times in 1st semester and 2nd semester. It is 600~900 words. It was very difficult. So you should write early it. But I could enjoy writing my essay because I wrote it with my friends. I think that you can enjoy doing it. Your partner is very important.
And you should ask your friends what you don’t understand. The Homework is sent to us in English. So I could not understand it. But some of friends can understand it. Whenever the Gmail was sent, I asked my friends.
After you finished spring vacation. You start new grade from April. You have to take Writing Ⅲ and Ⅳ to graduation.
ReplyDeleteI recommend to write blog from spring vacation. It is good for you because you have to write 10000 words in 1st semester. It was hard for me. I haven’t write blog in February and March. I played a lot of time with friends. I had a lot good memories in spring vacation, but I didn’t write about it. It was big mistake for me. Long vacation’s memories can get a lot of words. I recommend that to write from spring vacation. And you have to write many book reviews. I recommend that to finish early as soon as.
Second semester, you have write 15000 words. You will think that it is hard, but you can write blog from summer vacation. If you have good memories, you can get a lot words in summer vacation. I didn’t write blog in summer vacation, I always did part-time job and played with friends. I had a very good time, but I suffered to write blog after finished summer vacation. I recommend that to write blog from summer vacation too. This semester, you have to typing homework too. It has to send for teacher every week. You don’t forget it. If you worry about your blog, you can write about winter vacation. I was worried about my blog; I was write 1000 words about my winter vacation memories.
Next I want you to come all writing classes. This class used computer every time. And did a lot of thing every class. If you absent this class, you will not understand next class’s content. I recommend that to go this class if you late. And if you want to study for final, you have to finish blog early. I worked hard until last month. I don’t want you to become like me.
You should writing spring vacation daily. You have to write 10,000 words in spring semester. And I recommend write book review to first. You have to do 15 book review. And also, you keeping your speaking book. You can write about speaking book. And repeater, please continue post on your blog. And please observe deadline. You also have to do typing homework. Please make sentences and begin to type. You write a few essays also.
ReplyDeleteWriting 4 semesters, you have to write 15,000 words in your blog. You can start to writing 4 blog in August. So please write your summer vacation daily. And please make good summer vacation memory. In writing 4, you have to do 18-book review. And also you have to write movie review. All of essays increase words count. But please not suffering. And fall semester you have to do other subject homework. Please cherish the time. Writing 3 and Writing 4, please not absent!! Because you can’t understand that what you have to do.
So I recommend, first, make a your plan. Second, keep on deadline, third, please finish book review and typing homework earlier. Last, please not absent writing 3 and 4 classes. If you can’t pass writing exam, you have do same thing in 3-rd grade. Don’t worry, after the second grade, you can take a few relax. Good luck.
First, I think that the second year busier than first year. In first year, we also use text books when we learn about four skills. But, we do not use text books mainly. So, I recommend to practice about PC.
ReplyDeleteNext, I will write about advice of writing III. In the semester, I must study some home works. For example, typing home works, book reviews, essays and so on. In typing home work, I must write a lot of topics at five minutes. In Book review, I must write impressions about the book at least 100 words. And, sometimes I must write essays. So, I advice you that the home works study periodical.
Next, I will write about advice of writing IV. In the semester, Almost home works increase. Typing home work must write at least 100words. And, book review and essays increase contents. So, I think that you must take connect other students.

ReplyDeleteWe used text book in writing I-II class, and we study English like junior high school and high school. However, we don’t used text book in writing III-IV. So, I think that you have to write about your idea without text book. I think that writing III-IV was application of writing I-II.
I think that you should to finish about BR and typing homework early on. In addition, you can write blog from February, so you have to write blog from February because maybe you should to be busy sophomore than freshman. And you should to do Porto-portfolios at the beginning of the every month.
I think that you should to finish about BR and typing homework early on because you have to write about 15000 words. In addition, maybe you’ll very busy 2 term that 1term, so you should to write from august. Moreover, I think that it prefer that you should to do BR early on. In addition, I think that you should write about anything in blog, and you are going to finish this assignment.

ReplyDeleteI think that I could study English hard on Writing II because many homework was given. Compared with Writing II, I think that I didn’t study. I learned overseas cultures on text book on class of Writing I.
I think that I could enrich my vocabulary by making own blog.
I advise people who are going to receive Writing III to renew their blog frequently because they need write 10000 words for get credits and they will use many times for think contents of blog because they probably make many English sentences for the first time.
I advise people who are going to receive Writing VI to renew their blog frequently because they need write 1500 words for get credits. I recommend them to read books which were written in English and post the reviews.
I recommend students who are going to receive Writing III and IV next renew their own blog frequently.
You should start writing blog in long vacation. After starting all classes, not only writing class teacher but also other classes teachers will give you a lot of assignments. It is important to write your blog with planning. In Writing classes, your teacher will teach how to make pages, write essays, and so on. If you are absent from your class, you will be not able to understand how to make or write your blog, so you shouldn’t be absent from your classes.
ReplyDeletePeople who is in re Writing classes, I think you have already known what you should do. In re: Writing Ⅲ, it is not difficult to write 10,000 words. Write one book review, one free-writing and one typing homework every week, and you will finish posting 10,000 words. In re: Writing Ⅳ, you should start to write in summer vacation. I regretted that I didn’t do writing blog in summer vacation. 15,000 words are much more than you think.

I will give you some advices. I took Writing class last year, and this year. In this class, we can challenge to get the ability of Writing so long. And the other, we can learn how to use the computer of Apple. The first time, I was thinking that this class seems not so hard, and maybe easy, but it’s not true. In this class, there are many homework and to do. These are blog, book reviews, essays, typing homework, and so on.
ReplyDeleteIn Spring semester, we had to write blogs for 10000 words for a total. And 15 typing homework, and 15 book reviews, and 3 essays. I think, Blog is the most difficult homework, and you should take this homework so quickly. Book review and typing is not easy, but you can paste these writing for your blog, and you can get words amount. After all you have to do these works, you should write much words amount, and paste for your blog.
In Winter semester, we have some homework same as Spring semester. But a little bit increase. So you should start these works during summer vacation. So you will have something to write, and you will be able to write as funny.
After all, you have to do these homework and essays. So you should start to do your homework during early time. This is my advice. Good Luck.

ReplyDeleteFirst, I will tell you about writing III. We must write ten thousand words in the semester. So, I suggest to do essay and homework earlier because you should complete them in time of due.
Next, I will tell you about writing VI. We must write ten thousand and five thousand words in the semester. So, I suggest to do essay and homework earlier than writing III because you must write more than writing III and you must complete them in time of due.
Finally, I will tell you about my thinking of this class. I think that you will feel that you must write a lot of words and it is terrible but I think that the work become your good studying of English for you. You will able to get a talent of writing in English by writing a lot of word.
In fact, I have done many essays and I have written many words. For example, I have done essay, book review, free writing blog, and so on. And I could learn to write many sentences because I have studied many words and many idioms when I wrote it. It became good study of English for me. And also, I could cooperate and study to do many kinds of essay with friends of this writing class. It also was good for me. I could learn and spend pleasantly this semester. So, I with you can study pleasantly and the work becomes your good studying of English.
And I recommend you to take anthocyanin because your eyes will be tired to use personal computer during long time. Have a nice work.
You will be so busy this year, because you have to write blog in English. For example, blogging, Typing, Book Reviews and essay. You have to write three blogs per a week. I recommend you start your blog early.
