Please post an individual response to item two, Facing Technological Challenges (Writing III: Exam Items (2009), slide 5), in a single comment on this post.
I had not known Firefox, portfolios and google dog until I attended this class. Of course I had not used these. At first, I thought that, it is too difficult for me, but now I think it was very good experience for me. If I didn’t attend this class, I will have never known how to use these. They are so useful, because they can make a graph, links and so on. It is great technology.
When I faced challenges, I asked my friends and teachers. I’m not good at using a computer, so there were many challenges for me. For example, I didn’t know how to paste pictures on my blog. Then, I asked my friends, so they taught me how to paste pictures.
Now, we can’t live without cell phones or personal computers or other technological products because people use them almost everyday to get information or to get in touch each other. Especially, cell phone is very necessary thing for people. Thanks to cell phone, we can get in touch friends and families wherever we are. Recently, cell phone has a lot of convenience functions. For example, camera function is really good. We can take pictures even if we don’t have cameras. I think this function is the most convenient.
But we don’t have to use cell phones too much time because it is not good for our health. If people use them too much time, it is said that our eyesight will get worst. So we should save our time to use cell phones or PCs.
We can’t live without technology nowadays. Technology ia very useful so most of the companies introduce computer.
We learned how to use computer because when we take accession entrance exams, it is supremacy if we have computer skills. Computer skill is essential in our life recently.
I had never put a bog in English so facing technological challenge is to put English blog for me. I’m stranger to use a computer. It was hard to put portfolio, graphics and so on. Sometime my work vanished suddenly. I was really shocked. I faced technological challenge in every writing class.
When I had a problem, I asked my instructor to use computer’s mail. I couldn’t know how to change the blog’s display, so I asked how to improve. I think that to use computer is useful for us, because if I were not together instructor, we can contact instructor. Then it is easiest the other things.
To use computers is too difficult for me. I usually don’t use computers. So I didn’t know firefox, portfolio and so on. If I didn’t take this class, I don’t these things now. So, I think to use computers in the class is very good. I think I can use a computer better than last semester. I didn’t like to use a computer before, but now it is very interesting. Now, many computers spread in the world. So, I should learn more about it.
I think that I have faced challenged in CMC this semester. I was not able to use computer well before, so I didn’t understand how to post some picture on my blog. However I can do that now, because my friends taught me the way. Then, each time I was not able to use computer as I hoped, I questioned my teacher. Therefore I can use computer well gradually.
I've faced technological challenges and using Mac was the most challenging thing to me. I’m a Windows user and operating Mac was different from operating windows. It took more time to develop my blog using Mac. Even an assistant sometimes couldn’t find out how to operate Mac. However, all‘s well that ends well. I enjoyed using Mac in this class. I’m not sure what other students thought about using Mac. I guess most of them had never used Mac before and they got so much stress on using Mac not writing English. If we have used Windows we might be able to focus on Writing English itself more.
I think CMC was chat, e-mail, billboard, and comment for post. CMC is nice. Especially, when receive response to my post. I think CMC is new communication way to stranger. I was experience to receive response to my post from stranger this semester. I felt happy then.
In this semester, I learned about a lot of computer skills by using this blog. I had so many things about I did not know computer. So, first, it was pain for me this class. I felt that I am left behind in this class. But, I was helped because, I was blessed many kind friends and TA, absolutely teacher. Gradually, I could use the computer, so I enjoy this class!!
The most difficult things about use the computer (writing blog) is make the many tables and portfolio. Next semester, I want to use computer more smoothly.
I communicated with many people in this semester by using my blog. When I write my dairy diary, my friends and the people who watched my diary commented with my blog. And I returned my comments for their diary. Many people commented and I returned for them many times. So I could communicate with them and I think it is not bad to communicate by computer. And I thought computer’s development is wonderful.
To use the g-mail is very useful. I use the g-mail for much time in this semester. I can catch the news, and I can ask the various thing of teacher. If I can’t use the CHC, I was in trouble. Another thing, blog is very useful too. Because of, we can exchange the news each other.
I had a friend in Canada. I can contact her in my personal computer. If there are not personal computers, it is difficult for us to contact each other. I think that evolving technology is important for us. I believe that CMC will evolve more.
I usually talk many things with my friends. I have communicated with my friends on our blog recently. It is interesting because I can know what my friend did on a holiday. Using computer is difficult for me, but I will study about computer and enjoy it!

I am bad at using computers but I tried to improve my skill of using computers in this semester. The writing class which uses computer was a little difficult for me but I tried a lot of assignments every week and I became to have fun using computers.
2,About Facing challenges I have faced challenges in CMC. I couldn’t use the computer at the first time, so typing and blogging homework was very difficult for me. However, through using computer, I gradually got used to use computer and typing speed also got faster and faster. Although I’m not good at using computer now, I can use computer more convenient and faster than before. Before this semester, my typing speed was forty words per five minutes, but now, I can type 100 words per five minutes.

ReplyDeleteBefore I took this class, I thought I was good at using computer. However, this class overturned my confidence of my CMC skills.
ReplyDeleteFirst, I have never used Mac PC. But now I could used to using it and I want to become good Mac user.
Second, I cannot type with not watching the display. So I want to be a touch blinder. It is good for my typing fast and raise words counts.
